Polynucleotides
What are Polynucleotides?
Polynucleotides, often referred to as PDRN (Polydeoxyribonucleotide), represent a cutting-edge innovation in regenerative medicine.
Derived from salmon, these bioactive molecules have revolutionized the field of aesthetic medicine by offering a natural and effective solution for skin rejuvenation, hair restoration, and tissue regeneration.
How Polynucleotides Work
Polynucleotides are extracted from salmon through a specialized process. These bioactive molecules possess regenerative properties, capable of accelerating tissue repair and increase collagen synthesis.
When administered via injection, polynucleotides penetrate deep into the skin or scalp and stymulate fibroblast activity so that skin elasticity and firmness is restored, its texture is improved, and if injected in the scalp, hair follicles are also stimulated.
Benefits of Polynucleotides:
• Stimulates collagen synthesis and cellular regeneration
• Improves skin elasticity, texture, and tone
• Reduces the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, and scars
• Enhances hair density, thickness, and scalp health
• Accelerates tissue repair and wound healing
• Provides natural and long-lasting results with minimal downtime
Frequently Asked Questions:
1. What areas can be treated with Polynucleotides?
Polynucleotides can be used to rejuvenate various areas of the face, body, and scalp, including the skin, hairline, scalp, and areas of tissue damage or scarring.
2. How long do the effects of Polynucleotides last?
The effects of Polynucleotides vary depending on individual factors such as skin condition, treatment area, and lifestyle habits. Generally, few sessions may be recommended to achieve optimal results.
3. Is Polynucleotide treatment painful?
Polynucleotide treatments are typically well-tolerated, with minimal discomfort.
4. Who is a suitable candidate for Polynucleotide treatment?
Polynucleotide treatment is suitable for individuals seeking to improve skin quality, texture, and hair density, as well as those looking to accelerate tissue repair and wound healing. It is ideal for individuals experiencing signs of aging, hair thinning, or tissue damage.
5. When will i see results?
You’ll start to see results immediately after your first treatment, with the full effects visible after few weeks . We recommend maintenance treatments around 6 months. In patients with more severe signs we often recommend a course of 3 treatments every 2 weeks.
6. Are there any contraindication to treatment?
Here are some common contraindications to PN facial treatments:
- Pregnancy and Breastfeeding:
- Hypersensitivity or Allergy to PN Products: Individuals with a known hypersensitivity or allergic reaction to polynucleotide-based products should not undergo PN facial treatments to prevent adverse reactions.
- Fish allergy
- Acute or Chronic Skin Infections: Patients with active skin infections, such as bacterial, viral, or fungal infections, should not receive PN facial treatments until the infection is completely resolved to avoid exacerbation or complications.
- Open Wounds, Lesions, or Burns: PN facial treatments should not be performed on individuals with open wounds, lesions, or burns in the treatment area, as this may lead to further irritation, infection, or delayed wound healing.
- History of Keloid or Hypertrophic Scarring: individual’s risk and carefully consider the potential benefits and risks.
- Autoimmune Disorders or Immune System Disorders: People with autoimmune disorders or compromised immune systems may have altered healing responses and may not be suitable candidates for PN facial treatments.
- Active Cancer: Patients with active cancer and undergoing cancer treatments (e.g., chemotherapy, radiation therapy) should avoid PN facial treatments due to potential interference with the cancer treatment outcomes and the risk of cancer recurrence.
- Active Skin Disorders or Dermatological Conditions: Patients with active skin disorders or dermatological conditions in the treatment area, such as eczema, psoriasis, or dermatitis, should avoid PN facial treatments until their skin condition is under control.
7. Are there any sides effects?
You may have tiny blebs just visible, which is where the product has been left on your skin. This will dissipate over 2-3 hours . You may also experience mild Bruising.
- Avoid touching or washing your face for 4 hours
- Avoid make-up for 12 hours
- Avoid any other facial treatments for 72 hours
