Fat Dissolving Injections

What are Fat Dissolving Injections?

Fat Dissolving Injections are a non-surgical solution to remove stubborn localised pockets of fat and It is a great treatment for those who have localised fat that won’t go away even with a good diet and exercise.

Destroying the fat cells is a long-term solution as long as you retain a stable weight, eat healthily and continue exercise as usual. This leads to a permanent reduction of fatty tissue; once removed, fat cells will not reappear.

Unlike the surgical alternative Liposuction, Fat Dissolving Injections normally leads to a degree of skin contraction too, so you’re less likely to end up with loose skin around the treated area

Please Note:

Fat Dissolving Injections are a body contouring treatment not a weight loss solution and should be followed by a healthy diet and exercise for long lasting results.

Available options:
Lemon Bottle

Lemon Bottle is a new advanced lipolysis solution for the face and body. Lemon Bottle is a high-concentration fat dissolve solution that combinespremium ingredients that create fat decomposition by accelerating metabolism of fat cells. Minimal swelling, minimal pain.

Core Ingredients:
• Riboflavin (Vitamin B2)

Riboflavin, a water-soluble vitamin, plays a role in turning carbohydrates, proteins and fats into energy in the body and the body can't store much of it. Vitamin B2 is involved in the oxidation of fat and helps fat metabolism by promoting fat burning.

• Bromelain (Pineapple Extract)

Bromelain is a powerful digestive enzyme commonly found and extracted from pineapples, fruits, leaves and stems. It is used as an anti-obesity alternative medicine and induces fat breakdown as well as preventing inflammation.

• Lecithin

Lecithin is a generic term used to describe any group of fatty substances occurring in animal and plant tissues, which are amphiphilic - they attract both water and fatty substances. Lecithin possess beneficial properties in reducing cholesterol levels and controlling or preventing atherosclerosis.

Lemon bottle has become very popular recently due to its being a natural product with no harmful side effects. It is showing great results making it one of the most ask for fat dissolvers on the market at the moment.

The number of treatments required varies depending on the thickness of fat to be removed. Typically 4 treatments either every week or 2 weeks.

Aqualyx®

Aqualyx® is one of the most well known fat dissolvers on the market.

Aqualyx® is a compound solution from the deoxycholate family that has been physically modified and, by creating a slow release sugar-based system, the biological half-life is reduced which results in minimal side effects.

The advantage of Aqualyx is that it is well known, so it has had a lot of time to see how the product works and its proven results.

The disadvantage is that it is very painful and you need to add lidocaine to allow for a more comfortable treatment. Not everyone can tolerate lidocaine and this can cause irritation. The other issue is the area can have significant swelling after the treatment which can last for a couple of weeks, which not all clients like especially when having the chin treated.

The number of treatments required varies depending on the thickness of fat to be removed. Typically 1-3 treatments for small areas (e.g. jowls) and 2-8 treatments for larger areas (e.g. thighs) at 2-3 weekly intervals.

Frequently Asked Questions:

1. How do Fat Dissolving Injections work?

The active ingredients dissolves the membranes of fat cells in the treated area.

Once the fat cells become unstable, they break down, and the body’s immune system then eliminates the fatty acids via the lymphatic system and liver. Thats why is crucial to drink plenty of water after the treatment to help your body get rid of the fat residuals.

The products will break down subcutaneous fat over a month and in most cases starts to work straight away once the product is injected.

2. How many treatments do you need and when will I see results?

Typically, 1-3 treatments for small areas, such as under the chin, and 4-6 treatments for larger areas such as the thighs.

We suggest a higher number of treatments for body areas compared to facial areas due to the mass of the area we are treating. This ensures that we can achieve the optimal results that you are looking for.

3. When can i have my next session?

Treatments are spaced 2-3 weeks apart .

You will see a noticeable result in just one week after your first fat dissolving session. You can expect fatty deposits to shrink significantly, leaving you with a slimmer and more contoured appearance in the treated area.

4. How long will the results last for?

Fat reduction is permanent, for the fat cells are destroyed; they don’t come back. Of course, if more weight is gained, then the fatty appearance will return, but in proportion with the new shape gained.

5. What are the side effects?

It’s common to experience mild swelling for up to five days after the procedure, but this is completely normal and nothing to be concerned about. You can easily reduce any swelling at home with cooling pads.

Another potential side effect is redness of the skin in the treated area, but don’t worry, this is also normal and typically subsides after a few days. We advise against taking any anti-inflammatory medication to reduce these side effects, as it can counteract the effects of the treatment. we will provide you with thorough aftercare instructions to help minimise any discomfort or side effects you may experience.

6. Are there any contraindiactions?

Although in general on a fit and healthy person, fat dissolving is a relatively safe and effective treatment to use. There are of course some things to consider that may stop or alter the way in which we do this treatment:

  • Pregnancy and breastfeeding - it is never advised to complete any form of fat loss treatment on a pregnant or feeding mother. Studies show breast feeding can aid in the loss of fat in woman in the tummy and hips. Treatment can be carried out 3 months post birth for non-feeding mothers.
  • Not suitable on people under 18 and not advised on people over 60 as results may not be as effective.
  • Lipoedema is an abnormal build up of fat often in the legs and sometimes found in the arms also. Liposuction is the only effective way of removal for this stubborn fat.
  • Liver and kidney disease or disorders.
  • Diabetes.
  • Thyroid disorders.
  • Permanent use of anticoagulants.
  • Skin disease and disorders in the target area - psoriasis, eczema, scabies etc.
  • Scar tissue
  • Infectious blood conditions - HIV, Aids and hepatitis.
  • Current infection or illness.
  • For the use of excessive weight loss
7. Is there an Aftercare advice?

Immediately after treatment, there may be slight redness, swelling, tenderness and an itching sensation in the treated area. This is a normal result of the injections. The inconvenience is temporary and generally disappears in a few days. If it continues or if other reactions occur, please call us. The results directly after the treatment should not be seen as the final result.

Avoid touching the treatment area 6 hours after the treatment. After that the area can be gently washed with soap and water, and light make-up can be applied in the case of the neck/jaw area after 24 hours.

Until the initial swelling has resolved, do not expose the treated area to intense heat (e.g. solarium and sunbathing) or extreme cold.

Avoid any blood thinners (e.g. alcohol, aspirin, Vitamin E) for 2 days prior to and 2 days after treatment. Thin blood results in increased risk of bruising.

You can Take arnica tablets as follows: 2 tablets every 2 hours for 5 days prior to the treatment. You can find them easily at your Chemist or Hollands and barrets.

If you experience persistent or increasing swelling and redness that might indicate infection, or bruising that is more than average please contact us immediately.
