Skin Boosters

What are Skin Boosters?

Skin boosters are relatively new treatment concept which has become a lot more popular over the last few years and appeals to patients who want a more natural and fresh look.

They are predominently made of hyaluronic acid and skin rejuvenation components, which act sinergically to reduce wrinkles, deeply moisturize and improve elasticity of the skin, also helps stimulate the synthesis of hyaluronic acid and collagen.

The best renown skin booster on the market is Profhilo ,but in the last few years there have been new skin boosters that offers even more as they also contain amino acids which can penetrate deeper into the skin providing strong lifting effects and hydration.

Skin booster don’t ‘freeze’ the features or stop muscle movement (like BOTOX® ), although they can help to smooth out lines and wrinkles. Also They won’t deliver more visible results like dermal fillers can, although they can add a subtle volume by gently plumping and lifting the skin.

Advantages of the Skin Boosters

• Natural skin lifting effect without plastic surgery

• No downtime \ recovery time

• Visible and rapid facial rejuvenation

• Elastic, glowing and soft skin

• Reduction of wrinkles and sagginess of the skin

Frequently Asked Questions:

1. How do Skin Boosters Work?

Skin booster injections contain an ingredient that is a soft, gel-like substance called Hyaluronic Acid (HA). This is already present in the skin and usually produced by our body but its production sadly depletes with age. This causes the skin to appear more loose and dry.

During this treatment tiny amount of hydrating hyaluronic acid is injected in strategic points into the skin , so that its elasticity, firmness and radiance is improved. also the skin’s own repairing  mechanisms is triggered , therefore results are enhanced and more long lasting.

2. Are Skin Boosters different from Mesotherapy?

Skin boosters are quite similar to mesotherapy.

Similar  ingredients that you may find in mesotherapy solutions can also be found in skin boosters. The main difference between them is that skin booster contains more stabilised ingredients, especially the hyaluronic acid meaning the results will last you longer and fewer treatments are needed to see a difference.

They also tend to be thicker and injected slighly deeper into the skin, giving a more plumped and long lasting effect.

3. Which Advanced Skin Booster do you use?

At Letizia Rose Aestetics we only use the best skin boosters on the market, all have slightly different effects and can benefit different skin concerns.

During your consultation we will decide which skin booster is best suited for your skin and design what is the best treatment plan.

4. Are Skin Boosters different from Dermal Fillers?

Fillers and Skin Boosters both contain Hyaluronic acid – which naturally occurs in the body.

The difference is fillers use cross-linked Hyaluronic Acid which is thicker and stays in one place, whereas Skin Boosters uses uncross-linked which more like our natural hyaluronic acid, it just pumps and hydrates naturally.

Rather than just ‘filling in’ lines and wrinkles, skin boosters can also contain other ingredients which help towards other skin conditions.

5. Are there side effects?

Mild swelling and bruising are the most common potential side effects and can be noticed immediately after the treatment .

Consultations are very important and allow you to understand the treatment and highlight any potential side effects, questions you may have and any aftercare you should follow in order to achieve the best results.
